Carlos ROcha

For over 15 years, Carlos has been actively involved in forestry businesses, implementing professional timber harvesting and forest projects throughout the Americas and the Caribbean region. With an impressive track record of spending more than a thousand days over five years immersed in the woods across the Americas, he ventured deeper into the forests than most people did, including locals.

Holder of a master’s degree in forestry and a Forestry Engineering degree from the esteemed University of Sao Paulo (USP) Brazil, along with a specialization in harvesting practices from NAU (Northern Arizona University). Carlos, a Brazilian native, is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, which empowers him to effortlessly establish connections and create rapport in diverse cultural and professional settings.

After five years of traveling with only carry-ons and backpacks, living without a place to call home, Carlos has finally settled in the Greater Atlanta area. Leveraging his knowledge, experience, and invaluable network, he has developed reliable suppliers for highly sought-after exclusive wood over the years. These materials are now available in the United States and Europe, promising to elevate every interior design and architectural project with unique value and true exotic charm.

Alex Gorissen

Alex has been involved with the forest community since 2014. Working initially with silviculture equipment (soil preparation for forestry plantations), he traveled and spent time with locals from the southern tip of the Americas to the last frontier of Northern Canada. In one of those traveling years, he spent 198 days in the woods working with local planters and their families! 

Born in Detroit/MI, but living for several years in South America, he is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, making it easy for him to blend with locals and enjoy a good coffee or meal with them, learning their stories and concerns. His passion for the sector and the consciousness that he could make lives better for local communities pushed him to create Eco Forestry Products with his business partner Carlos, who is a specialist in forestry harvesting.

Luckily, after many years of traveling, his wife was very supportive and didn’t abandon him, so he is still happily married with two young adult children! 

Alex aims to bring beautiful, environmentally friendly products to customers and simultaneously help communities he met that are in need. This history is just beginning, there is a lot to be done!
